Thanks for the replies. Not exactly what I expected although some of the replies made me laugh. I wanted serious biblical answers.

That feeling that it could al be false how did you experience it?
by GBSJG inwhen i started researching i was still convinced that jws had the truth.
so i read some critical articles by ex-jws about certain teaching and i started to do some more research.. at this time i have successfully faded and no longer believe anymore.
but i can remember the moment when i first allowed the thought in my mind that it could all be false and not the truth.

It was a mix of pure freedom and anxiety, thinking about all the people that are misled and how could it be possible that I was misled?
Exactly my feelings! I had not been to meetings for about 7 or 8 years by the time I came across all this information and yet I still felt guilty for not going back. Thank goodness I listen to my instict and didn't go back. When I find out that they did not have "the Truth" it was a huge relief. I know my husband was very angry, angry that he had been mislead from childhood and angry that his PO father doesn't see that it's all a lie.

Familiarizing Newbies with the JWD Forum
by Frannie Banannie innewbies take a look around at this forum on your screen.. did you make a post yesterday and can't find it now?
up in the lefthand corner of the screen under the jwd forum logo, you'll find your poster name.
if you "click" on it, your profile page will appear and you can "click" on your "posting history" and locate that post you made and see any post that others made after it.

You have to do what feels right to you. Keep an open mind, learn as much as you can about the JW history. Maybe it's not the right time for you to leave, but in the end leave you must. You cannot live a lie year after year, it will do too much damage in the end. Keep posting and ask questions, question everything the WBTS teach.

by dazednotconfused in30 of my 40 some years on this mortal coil have been spent as a witness.

Do you (still) pray to God?
by Marcel inim still a witness, but my mind is shunned, already.
im staying for fear, since i dont have anything outside the jw's.
im not a hardliner saying im sure jw's are wrong or god dont exists, but i confessed myself that i just dont know and i guess strongly that a menmade organization which behaves and acts like the wts cant be the right.

When I first started to fade I was not at all interested in God and stopped praying. About three years ago I started again and it feels really good. My prayers are more answered now that when I was a JW.

My Story, in verse
by dedpoet inthis is my 1000th post, (light sabre required now), and as i've never told my story on this forum i though i'd do it now.
as some of you may be aware, i write poetry, and some even think i'm talented, so i decided to write it down in verse.
it's very much a work in progress, i haven't finished it yet, but here's part one:.
